Which payment module are you using? I am using PayPal.

I\'m wondering if it is related to an inconsistency in the way that PayPal returns the payment confirmation.

If PayPal had a problem on those days, then it would make sense that we all had a problem on those days.

You are right! All of my duplicates went through PayPal. All the pay later ones did not duplicate. Maybe PayPal was having a bad day or days!

Vaaaly intellesting...

Nathan, if you are watching, it is totally possible that we are barking up the wrong tree. But I think that we may be on to something here.

I think that PayPal is occasionally returning a confirmation format that creates duplicates.

Do the PayPal confirmations get logged anywhere so that we can compare them?

Since the first batch of duplicates that I posted about, we had a bunch without duplicates, then one more duplicate, then a bunch more without duplicates.

So I have a new twist to my theory: Maybe a PayPal response to a specific card type?

I don\'t know what kind of credit card(s) our duplicates are using, but I\'m guessing that they are all using something odd - like Amex. And that Paypal returns a unique response to that authorization - which causes DT Register to interpret it as two separate responses and to post duplicates.

Short of asking my registrants, is there any way to figure out what kind of card they used?

I have also had some duplicates recently as well. This also was after a bunch of registrations that went well.

OK, let\'s cross reference our dates again.

My latest duplicate appeared on 09-03-08. None since then. How about you?
