Hi,

One quick question. Is there a way to display events either on the calendar view or event list that are not yet open for registration.

Thanks,

luciano

Yes... create your event, publish it, but set the "Registration Open Date" for a date/time in the future when you want registration to be activated. Until that date, the event will show up everywhere, just not have any active link to start a registration.

Side note... if the event doesn't ever need registration... set the "Registration Open Date" to any date/time AFTER the event is over. Then the event is displayed but never open to actual registrations.

I have a yearly event (different date each year). I want next years event to display immediately after this year's event is over. This is accomplished in Joomla articles via publish dates. Is there a way to set up an event with publish dates so that the event will automatically appear in the event list after a certain date?

Amjin - you can not set a date for an event to automatically be published. Oddly, no one has even asked for that before. You can set the "Registration Open Date" so the registration becomes active / open at a set date/time, but not the display.
