Hi,

When I send out an email to all registrants I tried to include a link back to my website. The link was to http://newbizsolutions.com.au/training/ ... buzz-words .

However, in the email, then link is being changed to /training/resources/134-social-media-terminology-a-buzz-words and therefore does not work.

I have tried this twice and added the link directly in the Show HTML instead of the HTML editor. It works fine with external links, the http:// is not stripped. But it seems it is stripping for internal links.

I am using DT Register 2.7.5e, Joomla 1.5.23 and JCE 1.5.6.

Regards,
Paul

Hello. You need to set JCE to NOT use relative URLs. It will do this by default... and when relative urls are enabled, the editor will remove your domain name from any links, images, etc... which will cause anything like that to not work in an email.

I'm having this problem too Nathan.

I've got JCE and it's set to NO for relative links... furthermore, the url's in my emails have worked prior to the most recent upgrade.

I've looked at the emails in the config and they are absolute.

Please advise.

I've been wrestling with this one all day, and finally resolved it. The admin's answer above is correct but there's more to it. If you want to keep JCE's editor using "Relative URLs" for the rest of your site, but not for DT Register's external emails to registrants, then you can create a new "Profile" in JCE and assign it specifically to DT Register component with "Relative URLs" set to NO. Then in the Default Profile (where Relative URLs are still enabled) remove DT Register from the list of enabled components.
