TOPIC: DT Register 2.7.0 Release and Updates

By now you know that 2.7.0 has been released. For some, it was a rough upgrade, but we've continued to address item by item to get the issues dealt with. We will use this thread to announce any updates and bug fixes for this version. A couple fix updates have already been released, but we continue...

As of right now, we have updated the package to 2.7.0c. Please download and update right away. Some of the items addressed are:
- continued adjustments on the update/migration process to make it a smoother transition.
- adjustment to make sure what was previously known as "default fields" are all installed properly in the fields database table. People upgrading from 2.6.8 particularly were having some issues there.
- CB plugin updated to address a fatal error.
- registration records are now created with the proper status
- issue with error display when registering for a free registration
- other miscellaneous tweaks

Be aware that one of the recent updates had an issue that caused some user record data to be lost in the migration process. Unfortunately we can't recover something that no longer exists. So, if you upgrade to the latest package and your records are missing the main fields like name, address, email, etc... then you will need to restore your pre-2.7 data. As you should always do (and as our upgrade instructions say), you should have backed up the database prior to upgrading DT Register. If you have user or event issues from multiple reinstall attempts... you really should restore your 2.6.9 database tables. Files do not matter. Just get the data in place, then reinstall 2.7.0c. You should be in good shape from there.

Hopefully not many people will actually need to restore any old data. I know many are already moving ahead with 2.7 on their site.

So, make sure you have the latest component and CB plugin... also the Eventlink plugin if you are still using the initial 2.7 release package.

We know there are many forum posts about all of these issues and we have many tickets as well. We're going through them as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience. After you update to the newest package, please update your existing tickets to say if the issue remains or not. Thanks!

I did the upgrade from 2.69 to 2.70c
I saw no errors upon creation, went thru the options saved, etc.
Removed Jevents
Categories are published, events check out

ISSUES on upgrade:
Calendar won't show any events, shows "error loading data please try again"
CSS on attendees messed up in the titles area, widths, et.c

ISSUES on clean install 2.70c:
User with FE Publisher access can edit Pay Options even though not checked off

We have updated the package to version 2.7.0d. Many other issues have been addressed. The install/upgrade process should be much smoother now. Everyone should update to the new package. yes, there are additional smaller priority issues that remain, but we are working through everything. Thanks!
