Joomla 3.4
DTR 3.0.9a

We are using DTR and CommunityBuilder to require user registrations before booking. For some reason, a user was able to register for an event, but there is no corresponding profile nor did he receive an email confirmation.

This is a new phenomenon. Up until now, for nearly a year, everything has been fine.

Anyone else with this problem?

Yes, same kind of problem here. In our case this happens sometimes (but too frequent) in combination with a payment module. Payment succesful, but no record in DTRegister.
It might have something to do with session saving during regisration.
DTH Development told me there will be a new version with session issues fixed.

Sorry for the delay on this guys... but DT Register has went through a full overhaul for some Joomla 3 changes, PHP changes, etc. We realize a new update is long overdue and it has caused other delays. I can tell you that the new version, being released as 3.1, should be out in the next couple of days. All issues like this one should be addressed... and many others.

We appreciate your patience!!

The component and all modules/plugins have been updated for Joomla 3 for this next update. Lots of fixes and some new features too! We also have a great new product near release that can be used alongside of DT Reg. Be watching the site and your email boxes.

Nathan, suffice to say this is a tad disturbing. Do you have any recommendations on what to do with those customers who have registered for classes but (however this happened) managed to circumvent the Joomla ID creation?

There are various reasons that can cause the failure of the record to be created, but the vast majority of the time, it is not actually a DT Register problem. We have made some modifications to make it less likely to be an issue though.

If a record doesn't get created, no emails will be sent. If DT Register is unable to get verification of the payment... for whatever reason... the record doesn't get created.

So, when going back to resolve paid registrations without a record, you have to of course manually create that registration, which can be done in the backend records. You MAY be able to locate the registration details in your database... in the _dtregister_session table. It is not very user-friendly formatted data, but it is likely there to dig out.

If you need a Joomla login created also, that would need to be manual too. I know that's not ideal, but that's what you have to work with in this type of situation. Hopefully you're good moving forward though after updating.
