For some reason my Event List is blank unless you use the pull down to select a category.

I recently add a new event and now when you select List All Events from my main menu, you get:

There are currently no events setup for registration.

Yet if you pull down View by Category and select one, the events for that category show up.

Deleting the newly added event, doesn't fix the problem.

Any ideas to what went wrong?

Thank you

First thought... make sure your event categories are NOT set to "Guest". That's a confusing Joomla user group that is NOT the same as Public. If you want everyone to see the events, set the category access level to "Public". If this doesn't help, submit a ticket.

I ran into this same issue and checked that the Categories are set to public. It was working fine before but now it is broken. No items display until the category is chosen. Please help!

I think the problem has been fixed with this solution.

There are two settings;

optimizer_search_depth value to 0
sql_big_selects value to 1

Hope this helps you too.

Hello,
Thanks for the response. I can't seem to find these settings though. Where exactly are they in the component? Are they accessible on the control panel or do I have to get in the code or database?
