Pardon me if this has been answered - I wasn't able to find it.

I would like to make wider the label fields on the registration forms. I know how to affect the fields themselves. I suspect it's a template related thing, but have next to no knowledge of how that part of the system works.

I did see one tip that indicated changing the dt.dtlabel width from a fixed number to a %. However, that didn't change the output any (I'd guess that there is a max field width for the label somewhere else that's inherited to make the columnar display work)

Any suggestions?

Changing the CSS for dt.dtlabel IS what you need to do. Maybe a % won't do the trick within your site due to your template. You could just try a larger number. After making the change, also note that you may have caching in place that will prevent you from seeing the change so to be sure, clear your site AND browser cache.

Thank you! I had forgotten about browser caching (I'm an embedded developer, not a UI guy).

That certainly was the trick!

Again, thanks very much....

(future suggestion: have that adjustable on the config page(s) somewhere?)
