We purchased the AcyMailing plugin and must say we are underwhelmed with it. It does do exactly what the description says - it subscribes ALL registrants (for any event) to one (or more) newsletters when they register. However, you can't assign a different list based upon the registration - which is almost pointless unless you only have one DTRegister event that you are hosting at a time.

On top of that, we can't get the plugin to actually register anyone.

And no docs at all about this at all.

Although we'd really like to have the ability to add users to different lists based on the event, we'd settle for at least a few docs - to show us any special configs needed and/or troubleshooting.

Any ideas anyone (or are we the only ones using this plugin)?

Just purchased the plug-in prior to reading your list. Its a bit deceiving and sounds like you can assign an event to a list. If they all go to one bucket its not worth it.

Will keep you posted on the other results.

Guys, yes, you subscribe registrants from any event to the selected list(s). We are looking now at modifying this to allow a mapping of events to lists so you can have multiple configurations. No ETA at this point, but we'll try to have it here very shortly. Stay tuned.

The updated version of our AcyMailing plugin is now available! It does require the latest version of DT Register (2.8.13 / 3.0.9) to run. It is overhauled with added features:

- parameter for setting forced or optional newsletter subscriptions

- default list(s) selection to assign event registrants to

- event mapping system so you can assign registrants from selected events to selected lists... so each event has it's own mailing list assignment(s). The default selection is used for any event that doesn't have specified mapping in place.

The package readme file has detailed setup instructions now and we've also posted a video tutorial at:

We've installed the new plugin and it is MUCH better than the old one.

Also, Nathan was very helpful in getting things working and answering questions about how the new one works (before the video was ready).

With DTRegister and AcyMailing we've got a VERY powerful online system!

Thanks Nathan and everyone at DT!
