TOPIC: Large group registration using DT register

We have been using DT Register for many years.
The main use has been to register individual members of our organization for events. Occasionally we also sell memorabilia items with registration, and multiples of these are handled with extended radio button form fields.

Recently, we have the need for volume registration of large groups that will attend a special event. We do not want to track individual attendees, just the group itself. These groups may register 10-100 or more individuals.

So, we need the registering group to be able to specify the number of attendees, and be charged a single amount for the number of attendees. This is a very similar problem to an individual registering that wishes to order a large number of additional items and be charged accordingly.

Is there any way that this can be handled via DT Register? Are there any plugins or other extensions that can be used which will work with DT Register?

DT Register has two types of group registration: Detailed and Simple. Detailed has the data for each group member, but Simple does just what you have described. It just collects the number of members for the group and proceeds. No data for any members.

Any way to handle merchandise quantities along with the registration? If nothing other than radio button fields, are there any other e-commerce extensions that will work with the DT register cart?

You do not need any other extension. You can handle quantities of additional merchandise with conditional selection fields.

1) Radio button field to select the item to purchase. NO FEES associated with this field.

2) Create a dropdown field for EACH of the previous radio button values. Each dropdown will represent the quantity of an item. Assign the appropriate fee to each quantity value given. Make the field conditional on the appropriate merchandise item selected in the previous field.

So when a user clicks that radio button, a new dropdown field will appear to give a quantity selection... and calculate the price.
