What is the procedure for making custom fields in a way that can be translated. Such as using overrides?

You of course control what ALL of the fields display for labels and selection values. If you are referring to having multiple language translations on your site at the same time, you'll need to use FaLang for managing more than one translation.

Will it be possible in the future to have multiple language translations on my site with joomla native language setup without falang for example by using overrides or .. ?

best regards,

Martin

You can use Joomla language overrides for all text elements, but that doesn't address items that are stored in the database... like custom field labels, event titles, etc. For that, you'll need Falang.
