Reporting this... Experienced on my Joomla 1.7 install of DT Reg 2.7.9a

Back-end Categories: Can set them up fine - but try to click one to edit and get an error... Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/active/public_html/libraries/joomla/form/form.php on line 1379

Front-end Restrictions: I am looking at the standard 'list events' view - all is fine until I set up one category with 'Special' viewing permissions - Then the whole page is hidden to non logged in users saying 'You are not authorised to view' - I was just expecting the special category to get hidden - not everything else surely??

Hi Andy - Confirming bug here too - thanks for pointing it out. I hadn't tried to edit any categories yet after creating them, but just checked and see I have the same issue. I also have J! 1.7 and DT Register 2.7.9.

I had a similar bug with 1.6/2.7.8 in that I could set up an event, but couldn't edit it. That, however, took care of itself with the next package update.

I am having the same issue.. (cant edit categories) . I am installing the latest version but still get the time-out error.

I have the same problem, I cant edit categories from backend:

"Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded.../home1/...../public_html/......./libraries/joomla/form/form.php on line 1457"

Joomla 1.7.1, DT Register 2.7.9c

It's not a DT Register bug. I installed a completely new joomla 1.7.1, I installed the latest DT Register and it works perfectly. Something is wrong with my joomla ....

But what is it?

Update:

I Solved it in the following way: re-installed an older full site backup, and now is all working well. Now I'm happy.

I am also getting this error..
