I have my event currently listed on the site with registration set for November so the public cannot register. Is there a way to send a link to test users so they can test the registration process without allowing the public to access?

On a side note: This is a fantastic product. Thanks to all the developers who put this together.

Hello! You can control who SEES an event based on category access level. I'd recommend setting the public / registered / special access level for the event's category to something where only your test users can access when they login. Then you can publish the event and the public won't see it. Hopefully that will help!

Appreciate the response and I can certainly approach it that way if necessary. However, I was hoping I could allow the public to still see the event but not register. Then assign a set of users who could register to test the system despite the fact that registration is not yet open.

If you set the event as "Private", anyone will be able to see the listed event, but will be unable to access the registration form unless they are logged in. I don't know though if you have just general login for people on your site, so this may or may not help.

Oh, another idea for you... set the event to use discount codes as REQUIRED. Give a discount code... even without an actual discount... to your test users. Then while anyone can get to the registration form, no one will be able to get past the form and submit anything without having the code.
