Sorry if this is in here, but I wasn't able to track anything down.

I am wondering if anyone knows how to take a registration, but have someone else pay for it? We run government events and often the registrant is not the payee- there is a procurement department that will pay.

Does anyone know how to take a registration, and then send the registration to someone else for payment on the registration through DT?

You can't fill out a registration form then pass it on for someone else to complete on another computer. You're not going to find that type of functionality for anything in Joomla.

However, note that after filling out the registration, the billing info page can be someone else, so the payment details do not have to be the same name. It is intended for one person to be filling out the process though. So either the registrant needs to have the payment details... or the one paying needs to fill out the whole form.

Side note... you COULD enable both an online payment and the Pay Later option. Then the registrant could use Pay Later to register. Then the person paying could login, go to the user panel and make payment.

Of course, they'd have to know the registrant's login info. Just another thought for your to consider.

That is a really interesting idea. Thank you. I suppose I could give instructions. I didn't know that the pay later option would allow you to go back in and pay later online. I think that will do it.

You'd have to offer both Pay Later AND an online option. You'd also have to require a login... or at least use the auto user creation feature so users create a login as they register for the event.
