Following are some Q & A's that will answer many of your DT Donate questions.  If these do not answer your questions, please visit our forums.

Q:  Does DT Donate work with Joomla 1.5?
A:  As of version 2.1.3, YES!  It does not require Legacy mode and will work in the native 1.5.x version of Joomla.  The download of DT Donate includes both versions of the component.

Q:  Does DT Donate work with any gateway processors other than Authorize.net?
A:  At this time, the only other option is PayPal.  We plan on opening it to other processors, but at this time it works only with Authorize.net and PayPal. 

Q:  Does DT Donate integrate with Community Builder?
A:  As of version 2.1.2, YES!  You can select if you want to use the integration or not.  If you do, then donation forms will auto-populate with user's CB profile info when they are logged in.  The form will also have an added checkbox for users to mark IF they want to save their payment details for future use.  There is also an optional CB plugin that adds a tab to the user profile for Donation History.

Q:  Can I make changes to the donation form fields?
A:  Yes!  There are some fields that are hard-coded that you can not alter, but you do have the ability to create your own custom fields that can be any type of form input: textbox, checkbox, radio button, dropdown selection, textarea, etc.  You can make changes to text and labels in the form using the language file.

Q:  Can I add a convenience fee to cover my merchant account fees?
A:  Yes!  You can enable a convenience fee that adds a $ amount OR a % percentage to the user's donation.

Q:  Do I have to have a SSL certificate to take online donations?
A:  No, but it highly recommended.  Some merchant providers will require your site be secure to take online transactions, some will not.  Really, it's a no-brainer... you SHOULD get a SSL.  There is no reason to take chances and go without.  Besides, most users of at your website will not donate if they see your site is not secure.

Q: Can I take recurring donations with DT Donate?
A:  Yes!  The donation form will ask your users if they want to donate one time or a set recurring timeframe such as weekly, monthly, etc.  Recurring donations can be done with either the Authorize.net or the PayPal option of payment.

Q:  Can I process donations with ECheck?
A:  Yes!  You can take ECheck payments through your Authorize.net account... assuming that you have ECheck enabled on your account.  If you don't have it, you can disable it.

Q:  Are the donation records stored anywhere? If so, how can I access them?
A:  Yes!  In the backend, you will find a listing of all donation records.  You can also edit/delete records or manually add new records.  There is also a CSV export feature so you can take all of your donation records and view them outside of DT Donate.

Q:  Can I hire you guys to do custom development to DT Donate for my site?
A:  Yes!  If there is a specific function that you need that DT Donate does not currently provide, contact us with detailed information as to what you want done.  We will then get back to you with a quote to get the work done.  Please note that we retain ownership and all rights to any custom work we do on our components.
