First I thought the reason was php version 5.6.32 instead of 7.x, but obviously the incompatibility was reported with Joomla 3.8.2. Unfortunately saw this too late. My fault. Can see other pages in DT, but not events listing. Database Version 5.6.38 PHP Version 5.6.32 Joomla!
